I stepped on the router as I left my bedroom this morning. It's on the floor because I don't have a table and the cables are too short anyway. The Fritz!Box has a not-very-useful function to turn the Wi-Fi on and off, when you press one of the buttons. So, off went the Wi-Fi when my loafing great slab-like foot trod on it, and it's been off for much of the day. I'm going to stick something over that button, so I don't press it again. It needs one of those security covers, such as those featured in sci-fi films where they engage the self-destruct feature. DESTRUCTION IMMINENT.. DESTRUCTION IMMINENT...*
*: a reference to the warning given when you destroy all of the domes in Alien Breed 2 Special Edition '92 (although in the YouTube video linked <-- there, they missed the bit when you run out of time and the warning gets faster and more urgent, as I frantically run around trying to find my way to the lift that takes me to the next level)
